so I'm a dork and found plenty of references for the drunkenness of Noah through google images. Yes, Michelangelo, Bellini, and Procaccini each did one. It's kinda funny that everyone in Michelangelo's piece it nude, and everyone in Procaccini's is clothed. Bellini was the closest but he has the youngest son taking part in the covering of his father, Noah and I don't think that's mentioned in the text.

Okay, new ideas. My wife is pregnant so of course that will probably be a focal point for many pieces to come. So I have started on one of those, kind of an announcement piece, and I have a concept that my Jeremy and I have been talking about based on his song, "My world is white" http://www.myspace.com/wilsonempiremusic
And I'm reading through the book of Genesis and want to add on to the old testament paintings I started a long time ago (Adam and Eve, Abel, Cain) I think I will do a piece on the drunkenness of Noah....I know I know. What about the flood? The tower of Babel? yes, I'm aware but I've never seen a painting based on the drunkenness of Noah. I've got some thoughts about a day of the creation too. we'll see what comes out. -
