NBC commission: post 1

I've recently accepted a humbling commission to paint a portrait of Jesus Christ for the Foyer of Northside Baptist Church, Valdosta, GA. I do not take this commission lightly.  I'm thankful for this opportunity.  I aim to approach this commission with reverence and prayer. From this point on I will document the progress of this painting when ever any significant changes have taken place. I'm starting with a garden of olive trees. I plan on developing this landscape to it's completion (or at least almost complete) before I begin the figure of Christ. For those of you following along, welcome.
